Catch these troupes as they perform the traditional Cai Qing or “Plucking the Green” Ceremony for a boisterous finale!
The Champion of the Free-style Category of the 12th Ngee Ann City National Lion Dance Championships 2006 - Nam Sieng Dragon & Lion Dance Activity Centre together with the Champion of the Traditional Category - Tian Eng Dragon & Lion Dance Centre will bring you a spectacular performance of skills. The celebration will not be complete without a performance by the majestic dragon, as we invite the Champion of the National Dragon Dance Competition 2006 - Cheng Jing Hui Dragon and Lion Dance Association to put up a stunning competitive dragon dance performance. And that’s not all. Get your blessings from the “God of Fortune” as he walks around spreading his good fortune and wealth to all at the Civic Plaza.
A must-see for both locals and tourists in this festival is the traditional Cai Qing Ceremony or “Plucking the Green’ that will also be performed as a grand finale for the night, to bring in good luck and prosperity for the New Year.
